Today I have a very special FO to share with you - Rondelay: Rondelay is a fun knit using just one skein of sock yarn. The pattern calls for Malabrigo Sock (and I love all things Malabrigo), but with Rowan releasing their first hand-painted sock yarn, it was the perfect opportunity for a shop sample with this brand new yarn.
The end result is stunning - it was the perfect pairing of design and yarn!
I cast on and finished the first Rondel quickly (there are 3 Rondels), but then it was pushed aside until classes were posted at the shop. I was finally able to pick it again at the beginning of June when I shared my progress from the freezing baseball game. Even with putting it down for a bit, it still knit up quickly and the bind off was perfect for social knitting.
Raveled: Rondelay
Pattern: Rondelay by Jennifer Dassau
Yarn: Fine Art by Rowan Color 306 - Lapwing
Both yarn and pattern are highly recommended! My finished Rondelay is currently on display at Firefly Fibers if you are in the area and want to see it in person!
As an added bonus, I have about 8 gr of yarn left - can you say Hexipuff?!
More to come on my Beekeeper's Quilt addiction in the very near future!
Cheers!
